‘Suzanne, I need your help for our weekend in Paris. Could you send me that list of bistros in the 11th arrondissement again?
‘Oh, and what was that wine bar in Aix-en-Provence
you couldn’t stop talking about?’
Coucou,
I’m Suzanne Rietmeijer.
Editor-in-chief, author, and, more often than not, thinking about where we’ll be having lunch next or what I’ll be cooking in my small Parisian kitchen.
I write about French culture, as well as history, art, l’apéro and food. Lots of food.
I’ve been living in France since 2016, moving between Paris and Provence, always on the lookout for new and noteworthy addresses.
When I'm not on the Parisian Rive Droite, you'll find me with my dog in the Var or writing in my forest cabin in the mountains behind Nice.

Sharing tips is honestly what I love most, and since 2020 I’ve been doing just that as editor-in-chief of Côte & Provence,
a Dutch magazine about the South of France.
In 2024, my travel guide to the Côte d’Azur was published as well.
Many of the tips I collect naturally end up in my features, but there are so many more addresses and perles rares I’m eager to share.
Introducing: Baguette Gazette.
A biweekly newsletter where all my French pépites come together,
from Paris to the Côte d’Azur.
Sometimes sent from my pocket-sized Paris apartment, other times from my little cabin in the mountains behind Nice,
but always packed with tips.
À bientôt ?
